Jio Phone: A revolution by Jio

Reliance Jio has launched an affordable 4G phone called the 'Jio Bharat' priced at ₹999. The phone went on sale on July 7th to replace 2G technology in India. The Jio Bharat Phone targets people who cannot afford expensive smartphones but still need basic features.

In addition to the phone, Jio has also introduced a low-cost mobile plan called the Jio Bharat Mobile Plan.



Availability of Jio Bharat 4G Phone: 
Approximately one million units of the Jio Bharat Phone are available for purchase starting today. The phones will be part of a beta trial in 6,500 tehsils (administrative divisions) across India. You can visit Reliance Digital Store, Jio Retail Outlet, or other mobile retail outlets to buy the phone.

Jio Bharat Phone Variants: 
The Jio Bharat Phone comes in two variants: Jio Bharat V2 and Jio Bharat K1 Karbonn. The Jio Bharat V2 is developed by Reliance Jio, while the Jio Bharat K1 Karbonn is a collaboration between Jio and smartphone company Karbonn. Other smartphone companies also have the opportunity to manufacture their own devices using the 'Jio Bharat platform' provided by Jio.

Jio Bharat V2: 
The phone is available in two colors, Ash Blue and Solo Black, and features a rear camera. It includes a headphone jack and ensures high-quality sound. Users can enjoy a 4G connection for making UPI payments and watching movies using Jio apps.

Features of Jio Bharat V2: 
The Jio Bharat V2 phone comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA display, offering a compact and convenient form factor.
It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, ensuring smooth performance for essential tasks and applications.
The phone supports dual SIM functionality, allowing users to manage two phone numbers simultaneously.
It has 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card, providing ample space for storing contacts, messages, and multimedia.
The Jio Bharat V2 features a 2-megapixel rear camera for capturing basic photos and videos.
It runs on KaiOS, a lightweight operating system that offers access to essential apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, and more through the JioStore.
The phone comes with a 2,000mAh battery, providing decent battery life to keep you connected throughout the day.
It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and FM radio, offering connectivity options and entertainment features.

Jio Bharat K1 Karbonn: 
This phone carries the 'Bharat' logo on the front and the Karbonn logo on the back. It is available in the color 'Grey and Red.' The phone has a rear camera and supports UPI payments through JioPe. Users can enjoy movies and sports through the JioCinema app. Both phones have a keypad similar to traditional feature phones.

Features of Jio Bharat K1 Karbonn: 
The Jio Bharat K1 Karbonn phone sports a 2.4-inch display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels.
It is equipped with a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, ensuring smooth multitasking and responsive performance.
Similar to the Jio Bharat V2, it supports dual SIM functionality for managing multiple phone numbers.
The phone offers 4GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card.
It features a 2-megapixel rear camera for basic photography needs.
The Jio Bharat K1 Karbonn runs on KaiOS, providing access to popular apps through the JioStore.
It is powered by a 2,000mAh battery, delivering sufficient battery backup for everyday usage.
The phone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and FM radio, ensuring connectivity and entertainment options.

Jio Bharat Mobile Plan: 
Reliance Jio has introduced the 'Jio Bharat Mobile Plan' specifically for these smartphones. Priced at ₹123 per month, the plan offers users 500 MB of daily data and unlimited calling for a month. In other words, users will receive 14 GB of data in a month. For an annual subscription, the plan costs ₹1234 and provides users with 168 GB of data.
